Vintage Japanese Hanten Kimono

110.00 AUD

I found this beauty in the buzzing back streets of Tokyo’s Harajuku district, in a little vintage den filled to the brim with stunning kimonos. It was almost impossible to choose just a few from the selection. But this hanten – the traditional Japanese equivalent of a winter coat that started being worn during the 18th century in the Edo period – jumped out at me. Something about the burgundy shibori-style fabric with its sweet botanical motif, the velvet neck trimming, and the simple tie closure.
The padded cotton means she’s perfect for cosying up on those frostier days, and the vibrant colour will bring the fabulous to your winter wardrobe.
