Vintage Indian Lambadi Mirrored Skirt

80.00 AUD

I completely fell for the outrageous way the Lambadi tribeswomen of Hampi dressed. Referred to as the ‘gypsies of India’, these women are dripping in silver and wrap themselves in elaborately embroidered and bejewelled clothes.
While on assignment in Hampi I was blessed by an elephant, played dress-ups with some Lambadi women (I purchased this gorgeous wraparound skirt from them) and drank fresh coconut water from colourful local street stalls.
A magical place, and a magical, bejewelled treasure to bring its essence to you. Perfection when paired with a simple white tee and pair of leather chappals.
