Glamping in Morocco had been a dream of mine for years, so I never imagined the actual experience would live up to the Arabian Nights visions I had whirling around my head. But the impeccably styled Scarabeo Camp surpassed every one, and as an added bonus was just a 45-minute drive from Marrakech, making the desert glamping experience possible for travellers like me who didn’t have a whole lot of time to venture out into the “true desert” (aka the sand dune deserts of the south).
But ppf, who needs “true” when you have “fabulous”? When you have three-course feasts served up by candlelight, Berber tents kitted out with antiques, and camel rides through undulating hills dotted with palm trees? No one, trust me. But actually, don’t trust me – trust the little video I made below with my wonderful travel companion Miles Pitt, and get your butt there as soon as you can so you can experience the fabulousness for yourself.
You won’t regret it.
